The mission of the Northern Cincinnati Foundation, formerly the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty, is to transform generosity into impact by encouraging, supporting, and facilitating philanthropy to create more vibrant communities in northern Cincinnati.

Since 1999 the foundation has granted more than $20M to local nonprofit organizations and to causes important to its donors.

When Hannah Davis   traveled to China to teach English, she noticed how Chinese workers and farmers were often sporting olive green army-style shoes. Those shoes served as her inspiration to create her own social enterprise, Bangs Shoes.
